I Now Pronounce You Man & Rice

Well, I've been meaning to do something like this for quite some time, 'this' being a daily photo blog type of thing. And with the recently planted rice paddy around the corner, I've found my muse, at least until they chop it all down in the fall. So from now until then, check in daily to keep pace with the fascinating process of rice growing.

Don't get your hopes up too high though, because I'm only planning on posting one picture a day. But since this is the kick-off post, I'll splurge and put up three, just so everyone can get the lay of the land.

This is the paddy you will grow to love, sharing it's up and downs. That's an old folks home on the right, and if we're lucky we might get some pics with the crazy old people actually IN the rice paddy.

This is where we are now. They planted the rice the day before yesterday, after flooding the paddy about a week ago.

Here's a close up the rice in it's infantile state. Isn't it just precious?

I don't plan on offering much commentary unless I have something witty or informative to add. I'll try and let the pictures speak for themselves. And so it begins.
